Give Back A Smile : Domestic Abuse Smile Design

Dr. Kenneth Banks partners with The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Charitable Foundation, participating in their Give Back A Smile Progam. GBAS mission is to restore the smiles of patients who were victims of domestic abuse. Women and men of all backgrounds and ethnicities fall victim to domestic and sexual violence, Give Back a Smile helps these people restore their smiles so they can reclaim their lives.

The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Charitable Foundation’s (AACDCF) Give Back a Smile (GBAS) program heals some of the most devastating effects of domestic and sexual violence, by restoring the smiles of adult women and men who have suffered dental injuries from a former intimate partner or spouse, family member or due to sexual assault.

Many victims of domestic abuse suffer trauma to the face, teeth, and jaw. GBAS works to raise awareness for this violence, and to help patients restore their oral health and improve the aesthetics of their smile.

How You Can Help

Dr. Banks is participating in the Give Back a Smile Whitening Fundraiser. This is where you can help. For every teeth whitening procedure you purchase, Dr. Banks will donate the proceeds to the AACD Charitable Foundation to help cover the costs of the smile makeovers for domestic abuse victims.

Teeth whitening is a safe and effective way to take years off of the appearance of your smile. In just one hour, teeth can be up to 8 shades brighter and whiter. The GBAS program allows Dr. Banks patients to enjoy a relaxing, comfortable teeth whitening procedure while giving back to those in need.
